The Swiss sits in pole position in this group after an impressive win over the European champions Portugal in first qualification match. A place in Russia is almost guaranteed for them, They’ve had a great season in terms of results
The Faroe Islands have displayed some pretty solid defense during this campaign having kept clean sheets in 3 of their 5 qualifiers and were beaten 2-0 in Switzerland when the sides met in November. it’s likely to be a defensive approach again from the Faroes here, so Switzerland may have to be patient and try to force an opening.
